Live Lights

Edinburgh, U.K.

Using live music, these light units work to represent the artist in a space, remote from the artist. They work by receiving a live feed when the artist plays a live gig anywhere in the world.  The music works as a transient moveable installation. The forms contain illustrative representations of two songs by the artist ARAYA, the illustrations are illuminated from within (in sync) as the music is played at the gig. The songs represented are ‘The Mast’ and ‘This Was Your Life’. The installation is silent therefore, making the viewer question its purpose. Stimulating those not in the know, engaging them in a new and unexpected way and encouraging further exploration of the artist.
